SSSweet!

Tag your it! That's the challenge this week! If you missed the new releases at Pink By Design than boy did you miss an amazing set of new stamps! I can't decide which I like best and they are going like hotcakes! Already most of the quantities have sold out but have no fear the great team over there has reordered! Isn't that SSSWEET! Why SSSWEET well my card this week has a cute little snake and my sliding tag reads you guessed it SSSWEET! Just like the new releases LOL! It comes from the OH BOY! stamp set. Actually the phrase was SSSimply SSSweet but that was too long for what I needed so I masked off the sssimply and just used the sssweet! Enough jibber jabber head over to the pink by design store and pick up some stamps before the big anniversary party this weekend it will be...SSSWEET ;)

Enjoy all and sorry about the horrible photos...again any tips on my work are greatly appreciated.

short and sweet

This post is a short and sweet one. Below is my submission for ink it pink it challenge. This week is ribbons and I have to say I took on more than I could chew. I should have done a simpler project but alas hindsight is 20/20 and I really don't have anymore time to devote to this weeks challenge. Actually perhaps this is good. I was hoping to ask for some input. Obviously I'm new to the whole card making thing and while not trying to sound vain I think I'm decently creative but my techniques are lacking. Can anyone give me some advice? I watch tons of tuts etc but hoping you guys seeing my work might give some feedback. Thanks in advance for the input. Enjoy the project, although I haven't read 50 shades I have a friend who adores it and so this card is dedicated to her. I used the Pink by Design Laters Baby set. C-ya next time.

4th of July Sparkles

Yes after all the storms lately we needed a little break and Independence Day gave us that! My in-laws were surprised indeed when their other son showed up from out of state...oh we are a sneaky family but my favorite part (OK lots of favorite parts I mean its the 4th after all! Parades, food, and so much fun!) is watching my children enjoy the fireworks! They are magical no matter what age (just ask my hubby!) and ohhh the sparkle! Sparkles are awesome and this weeks challenge for Ink it Pink! Sparkles! These ladies truly are after my own heart. The first thing I thought of was a disco ball! Why I'm not sure; a child of the 70's I suppose (although my next thought was fluffy unicorn! Love that movie! OK yes I am easily distracted I know) anyhoo...back to disco ball. I found this great image and I used Pink By Design "You Are" stamp set. Can you believe I got this as a last minute thinking well I might use it! It is perfect for so much! If you're looking for a stamp set for you're collection this is one to add! Below are the supplies. Extremely simple card today but enjoy. I hope I've added a little sparkle to your day :)

storms, staying cool and chaos

Hello again everyone its me!!! I know your excited to hear from me again and I have to say I wasn't sure it would be possible until next week...why you ask? Ahh I was one of the many to experience the crazy storms. Thankfully we had little damage but than chaos erupted turns out this storm caused so much destruction that they called a state of emergancy over 600+ were w/o power and not expected returned for at least a week. Generators sold out,Ice & Food Sold Out, Gas Sold Out of almost every station in the state causing heated arguments and of course in the hottest time of the summer no air conditioning! Yikes! We were blessed this time around by getting what we needed but I pray for those still without power and comfort. Thats why I found the Ink it Pink Challenge slightly ironic this week. The theme-Keeping Cool. Now my take on this challenge is a little unorthodox because really my favorite way to cool off is just to stick around in the air conditioning and what better way to do that than to shop! So here is my fun (yet out of the box) take on the challenge. Sentiment reads "A Womens Place is in the Mall"

Supplies listed below. Try and stay cool and ENJOY!

Oh and PS..head over to Pink by Design to check out there new releases...lets just say they have some wonderful new sets if your looking for something that's a "shade" different ;)
